Hu Qingyang (simplified: 胡青羊, traditional: 胡青羊, pinyin: Hú Qīngyáng, jyutping: wu4 cing1 joeng4) was the younger sister of Hu Qingniu, the Divine Valley Medical Immortal (蝶谷医仙). She was abandoned by Xianyu Tong and committed suicide while pregnant.
Biography
Relationship with Xianyu Tong
Hu Qingyang once treated Xianyu Tong for an injury and fell in love with him. She gave herself to him and became pregnant. However, Xianyu Tong later abandoned her to pursue the position of Huashan School leader, marrying the only daughter of the then-leader of Huashan School instead.
Death
Abandoned and pregnant, Hu Qingyang was filled with shame and anger. She committed suicide, resulting in the tragic death of both herself and her unborn child—a double tragedy.
Legacy
During the Six Great Schools’ siege of Bright Summit, when Xianyu Tong faced Zhang Wuji in battle, Zhang Wuji used Xianyu Tong’s betrayal of Hu Qingyang to anger him, exposing his past misdeeds.
Personality and traits
Hu Qingyang was described as beautiful but not highly skilled in martial arts. She was innocent and trusting, falling victim to Xianyu Tong’s deception and abandonment.
