Madam Wang (simplified: 王夫人, traditional: 王夫人, pinyin: Wáng Fūrén, jyutping: wong4 fu1 jan4) was the wife of Lin Zhennan and mother of Lin Pingzhi. She was the daughter of Wang Yuanba of the Golden Blade School in Luoyang.

Biography

Madam Wang was born into the prestigious Golden Blade School family in Luoyang. She married Lin Zhennan, the head of the Fuzhou Escort Agency, and together they had a son, Lin Pingzhi. As the daughter of Wang Yuanba, she came from a martial arts family and was connected to one of the most prominent families in Luoyang.

Massacre of the Lin family

When the Qingcheng School attacked the Fuzhou Escort Agency in pursuit of the Evil-Warding Sword Manual (辟邪剑谱), Madam Wang, along with her husband and employees, was forced to flee. She and Lin Zhennan were eventually captured by the Qingcheng disciples Yu Renhao and Luo Renjie at a roadside inn in Nanyu.

During their captivity, Madam Wang and Lin Zhennan were tortured and interrogated by Yu Canghai in an attempt to force them to reveal the location of the Evil-Warding Sword Manual. Despite the torture, they refused to reveal the secret, demonstrating their loyalty to their family and their determination to protect the manual.

Death

Madam Wang was eventually killed by the Qingcheng School during their brutal campaign against the Lin family. Her death, along with that of her husband, marked a tragic turning point in Lin Pingzhi’s life and set him on a path of revenge.
