The Golden Blade School (simplified: 金刀门, traditional: 金刀門, pinyin: Jīndāo Mén, jyutping: gam1 dou1 mun4), also known as the Golden Blade Wang family (金刀王家), was a martial arts faction in Laughing in the Wind based in Luoyang. It was led by Wang Yuanba (王元霸), known as the Invincible Golden Blade (金刀无敌).
Overview
The Golden Blade School specialised in blade techniques. Wang Yuanba’s daughter married Lin Zhennan of the Fuwei Armed Escort, making Lin Pingzhi Wang’s grandson. After the massacre of the Lin family, Lin Pingzhi and Yue Lingshan sought refuge with the Wang family in Luoyang.
The Wang family initially suspected Lin Pingzhi of possessing the Evil-Warding Sword Manual and subjected him to scrutiny. Lin Pingzhi later discovered the true manual in his family’s ancestral home on Xiangyang Lane.
