Ji Zhanglao (simplified: 季长老, traditional: 季長老, pinyin: Jì Zhǎnglǎo, jyutping: gwai3 zoeng2 lou5) was an eight-bag elder (八袋长老) of the Beggars’ Guild who joined Chen Youliang and Zheng Zhanglao in attempting to seize the Dragon Sabre from Xie Xun at Snake Island. He was killed by Zhang Wuji.
Biography
Background
Ji Zhanglao served the Beggars’ Guild as an eight-bag elder. He was skilled in the Yinshan Palm Great Nine Forms (阴山掌大九式), a fierce palm technique known for its power.
Snake Island
Ji Zhanglao traveled to Snake Island with Chen Youliang and Zheng Zhanglao to seize the Dragon Sabre from Xie Xun. When the group attacked Xie Xun, Zhang Wuji intervened to save his sworn father. Zhang Wuji struck Ji Zhanglao’s vital points with flying stones, killing him instantly.
Martial arts
Ji Zhanglao was skilled in the Yinshan Palm Great Nine Forms, a palm technique known for its fierce, powerful strikes and considered one of the Beggars’ Guild’s martial arts.
