He participated in the school’s search for Shi Zhongyu and was known for his determination to improve after defeat.

Wang Wanren was trained in the Snowy Mountain Swordplay by Bai Zizai. As a third-generation disciple, he was part of the “Wan” generation (万字辈) of the Snowy Mountain School, alongside Bai Wanjian, Feng Wanli, Geng Wanzhong, Ke Wanjun, Huyan Wanshan, Bao Wanye, Wang Wanyi, and Hua Wanzi.
