Wang Cheng (simplified: 王诚, traditional: 王誠, pinyin: Wáng Chéng, jyutping: wong4 sing4) was an elder of the Sun Moon Order who defected to Dongfang Bubai when Dongfang Bubai usurped power from Ren Woxing. He participated in the investigation of Ren Woxing’s escape from Plum Manor.
Biography
Wang Cheng was a senior elder of the Sun Moon Order who played a role in the order’s internal power struggles. When Dongfang Bubai usurped power from Ren Woxing, Wang Cheng defected to Dongfang Bubai’s side, demonstrating the opportunistic nature of many order members.
Investigation at Plum Manor
After Ren Woxing escaped from his imprisonment at Plum Manor (梅庄), Wang Cheng, along with Bao Dachu, Qin Weibang, and Sang Sanniang, was sent to investigate the escape. They were tasked with interrogating the Four Friends of Jiangnan and determining what had happened.
