Qin Weibang (simplified: 秦伟邦, traditional: 秦偉邦, pinyin: Qín Wěibāng, jyutping: ceon4 wai5 bong1) was an elder of the Sun Moon Order who defected to Dongfang Bubai when Dongfang Bubai usurped power from Ren Woxing. He was originally the Green Banner leader of the Jiangxi branch before being promoted to elder.
Biography
Qin Weibang began his career in the Sun Moon Order as the Green Banner leader (青旗旗主) of the Jiangxi branch. When Dongfang Bubai usurped power from Ren Woxing, Qin Weibang defected to Dongfang Bubai’s side and was promoted to elder, becoming part of the order’s core decision-making body.
Investigation at Plum Manor
After Ren Woxing escaped from his imprisonment at Plum Manor (梅庄), Qin Weibang, along with Bao Dachu, Wang Cheng, and Sang Sanniang, was sent by Yang Lianting to investigate the escape. They were tasked with interrogating the Four Friends of Jiangnan and determining what had happened.
When Ren Woxing revealed himself and exposed Dongfang Bubai’s conspiracy, Qin Weibang initially refused to submit to Ren Woxing, remaining loyal to Dongfang Bubai. However, Ren Woxing forced him to take the Three Corpse Brain Pill (三尸脑神丹) without its antidote shell, and Xiang Wentian captured him with a long whip, forcing his submission.
Later events
After Ren Woxing’s return to power, Qin Weibang was forced to serve under Ren Woxing. During the power struggles on Blackwood Cliff, he was involved in various conflicts and was eventually forced to submit to the new leadership.

Qin Weibang was portrayed as opportunistic and loyal to whoever held power. He was willing to defect from Ren Woxing to Dongfang Bubai, demonstrating the pragmatic nature of many Sun Moon Order members. His initial refusal to submit to Ren Woxing showed some loyalty to Dongfang Bubai, but he was ultimately forced to comply.

Qin Weibang was a capable martial artist, having risen to the position of elder in the Sun Moon Order. However, his skills were not sufficient to resist Ren Woxing and Xiang Wentian when they confronted him at Plum Manor.
