North Hengshan Swordplay (simplified: 恒山剑法, traditional: 恆山劍法, pinyin: Héngshān Jiànfǎ, jyutping: hang4 saan1 gim3 faat3) was the Northern Hengshan School’s signature sword technique in Laughing in the Wind.
Overview
The technique reflected the Buddhist nunnery’s character, emphasising elegance and defence. The Northern Hengshan School was known for its all-female membership and refined sword forms. The Ten Elders of the Sun Moon Order had deciphered counter-techniques to North Hengshan Swordplay, which they carved onto the cave walls on Mount Hua before perishing.
