Hui Guan

Huiguan (simplified: 慧观, traditional: 慧觀, pinyin: Huì Guān) is a disciple of Great Master Xuanbei from Shaolin Order. He accompanies his senior brother Huizhen on a diplomatic mission to Dali to report their master’s death and seek assistance in bringing the murderer to justice.

Biography

Huiguan was one of Great Master Xuanbei’s four disciples, serving alongside his senior brother Huizhen. He accompanied Huizhen on their mission to Dali to deliver an official letter from the Shaolin abbot to the Dali royal family.

Huiguan was present when the four disciples discovered Great Master Xuanbei’s murdered body at Shenjie Temple. After the discovery, he participated in coordination with Master Wuye of Shenjie Temple regarding the handling of his master’s remains.

When Huangmei criticized Great Master Xuanbei’s martial arts techniques, both Huizhen and Huiguan showed their displeasure, though they maintained proper respect for the senior monk.
