Yujizi

Yujizi (simplified: 玉磯子, traditional: 玉磯子, pinyin: Yùjīzǐ, jyutping: juk6 gei1 zi2) was a senior of the Taishan School and a junior of Tianmen’s master. He betrayed Tianmen during the Five Mountains alliance ceremony by tricking him into revealing the leader sword, then seizing it to claim leadership of the school.

Biography

Betrayal of Tianmen

Yujizi was one of three seniors (along with Yuqingzi and Yuyinzi) who betrayed Tianmen during the Five Mountains alliance ceremony at Mount Songshan. He used a provocation technique to make Tianmen reveal the school’s leader sword, then seized it and claimed leadership of the Taishan School.

Yujizi’s betrayal was part of Zuo Lengchan’s scheme to merge the Five Mountains Sword Schools. By supporting Zuo Lengchan’s plan, Yujizi hoped to gain power and influence within the merged school.

After Tianmen’s death

After Tianmen’s death, Yujizi attempted to lead the Taishan School, but his leadership was not widely accepted. He was eventually defeated by Yue Lingshan during the Five Mountains alliance ceremony, demonstrating that his martial arts skills were not sufficient to maintain his position.

Later years

After Yujizi was defeated and disabled, Yuqingzi and Yuyinzi both attempted to claim leadership of the Taishan School, leading to internal conflict. However, they were also defeated by Yue Lingshan, demonstrating that their skills were not sufficient to maintain leadership.
