He was involved in the pursuit of Xiang Wentian of the Sun Moon Order, where he and other orthodox martial artists attempted to capture Xiang Wentian. During this encounter, Linghu Chong intervened and demonstrated his superior swordplay, which frightened Tianyi and caused him to faint, demonstrating Linghu Chong’s growing martial prowess.
