Qi Liusan (simplified: 祁六三, traditional: 祁六三, pinyin: Qí Liùsān, jyutping: kei4 luk6 saam1) was a martial artist who joined Bao Qianling and Xiang Wanghai in criticising Qiao Feng, only to discover Qiao Feng’s superior abilities.

Biography

Qi Liusan was a martial artist who traveled with Bao Qianling and Xiang Wanghai. The three companions spent a night criticising and cursing Qiao Feng, believing him to be a traitor to the Beggars’ Guild. They exhausted themselves with their verbal attacks and eventually fell asleep.

When they woke up, they discovered that Qiao Feng had visited them during the night and left small white papers with the words “Qiao Feng pays his respects” on their weapons. This demonstration of Qiao Feng’s ability to approach them undetected while they slept served as a humbling reminder of his superior martial arts skills.

Personality and traits

Qi Liusan appeared to be quick to judge and criticize others, particularly when he believed they had committed wrongdoings. He was willing to join others in condemning Qiao Feng without fully understanding the situation. However, he was also capable of recognizing when he had underestimated someone’s abilities, as demonstrated by his reaction to Qiao Feng’s demonstration.

Martial arts abilities

While Qi Liusan’s specific martial arts abilities were not described in detail, he was a trained martial artist who carried weapons and traveled with other skilled fighters. His abilities were sufficient for him to be considered a threat by most opponents, though they paled in comparison to Qiao Feng’s superior skills.

Relationships

Qi Liusan traveled with Bao Qianling and Xiang Wanghai as companions. Their relationship with Qiao Feng was initially one of hostility and criticism, though they came to recognize his superior abilities.

Behind the scenes

Qi Liusan appeared in one key scene in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. His appearance showed him joining his companions in criticizing Qiao Feng throughout the night, only to discover that Qiao Feng had demonstrated his superior abilities by approaching them undetected while they slept. This served as a lesson about not underestimating others and the importance of understanding a situation before passing judgment.
