Nine Yang Power (simplified: 九阳神功, traditional: 九陽神功, pinyin: Jiǔyáng Shéngōng, jyutping: gau2 joeng4 sing4 gung1) is a supreme internal cultivation technique. Jueyuan learned it from the Nine Yang Manual (the manual contained both Yin and Yang portions) and taught a portion to Zhang Junbao, who became Zhang Sanfeng. Zhang Sanfeng and the Wudang Order developed their own neili cultivation (武当九阳功) from this foundation.
Zhang Wuji discovered the complete Nine Yang Power inside a white ape in the valley where he was stranded. Mastering it cured the Xuanming Divine Palm cold poison that had afflicted him since childhood and made him one of the foremost martial artists in the jianghu. Cheng Kun practised the Shaolin Nine Yang Skill (少林九阳功), a derivative.
