Mi Weiyi (simplified: 米为义, traditional: 米為義, pinyin: Mǐ Wéiyì, jyutping: mai5 wai4 ji6) was the second disciple of Liu Zhengfeng of the South Hengshan School. He was tragically killed by Ding Mian of the Songshan School during Liu Zhengfeng’s golden basin hand-washing ceremony.
Biography
Early life and training
Mi Weiyi was the second disciple of Liu Zhengfeng, learning Hengshan Swordplay and the school’s traditions from his master. He was described as being loyal to his master and dedicated to the school’s principles.

Mi Weiyi was present at Liu Zhengfeng’s golden basin hand-washing ceremony, where he helped prepare for the event and served as a representative of the South Hengshan School. He worked alongside Xiang Danian, Liu Zhengfeng’s first disciple, to ensure the ceremony went smoothly.
During the ceremony, Mi Weiyi was responsible for security in the courtyard area, demonstrating his role as one of Liu Zhengfeng’s trusted disciples.
Death
When the Songshan School attacked Liu Zhengfeng and his family, Mi Weiyi was killed by Ding Mian, who used silver needles to attack Liu Zhengfeng’s disciples. Despite Liu Zhengfeng’s attempts to protect his disciples, Mi Weiyi and Xiang Danian were both killed in the attack.
His death was a tragic loss, as he was just a loyal disciple who had done nothing wrong but was caught in the conflict between the jianghu’s factions.
