Background
Meng Zhenghong’s brother was killed by Xie Xun, the Golden-Haired Lion King. Meng Zhenghong was determined to find Xie Xun and take revenge.
Wife’s suggestion
Meng Zhenghong’s wife, Lady Wu (乌氏), suggested poisoning Zhang Cuishan to force him to reveal Xie Xun’s whereabouts. Meng Zhenghong firmly refused to use such tactics, insisting on honourable methods.
Wife’s abduction
Lady Wu left in anger after the disagreement. She was then abducted by bandits. Fortunately, the Wudang Order disciples discovered her and rescued her. Meng Zhenghong was deeply grateful and thanked the Wudang heroes in person.
