Xin Shuangqing (simplified: 辛双清, traditional: 辛雙清, pinyin: Xīn Shuāngqīng) was the leader of the Wuliang Sword School’s West Sect. Her name “Shuangqing” means “Double Clarity”.

Leadership of Wuliang Sword School West Sect
Xin Shuangqing served as the leader of the Wuliang Sword School’s West Sect, which competed with the East Sect every five years to determine which faction would occupy the Sword Lake Palace. She was the junior sister of Zuo Zimu, the leader of the East Sect, and their relationship was marked by both rivalry and mutual respect.
Subordination to Lingjiu Palace
After the Wuliang Sword School was subordinated to Lingjiu Palace, the East and West Sects were merged into a single “Wuliang Cave.” Due to her gender, Xin Shuangqing was appointed as the cave master, becoming one of the “Thirty-six Cave Masters and Seventy-two Island Leaders” under the command of Lingjiu Palace.
Handling of Duan Yu
When Duan Yu was brought to Mount Wuliang, Xin Shuangqing worked alongside Zuo Zimu in managing the sect’s affairs. She assigned Yu Guangbiao and Wu Guangsheng to take care of Duan Yu, demonstrating her authority over the sect’s disciples.

Xin Shuangqing later appeared at the Wanxian Conference, where she participated in discussions about breaking free from Lingjiu Palace’s control. She demonstrated her leadership abilities and strategic thinking during these important negotiations.

Xin Shuangqing was connected to the mystery of the Wuliang Jade Wall’s immortal shadows. Her master had become obsessed with the sword shadows on the jade wall and eventually died from exhaustion due to this obsession. This history was revealed through conversations between Xin Shuangqing and Gan Guanghao during their elopement, and ultimately helped Duan Yu uncover the truth that the “immortal shadows” were actually reflections from the Sword Lake.
