Wan Daping (simplified: 万大平, traditional: 萬大平, pinyin: Wàn Dàpíng, jyutping: maan6 daai6 ping4) was a disciple of the Songshan School and a junior brother of Shi Dengda. He was known for his role in the massacre of Liu Zhengfeng’s family during the Golden Basin Handwashing ceremony.
Biography
Wan Daping was trained by Zuo Lengchan and became a disciple of the Songshan School. He was a junior brother to Shi Dengda, following him in seniority.
Golden Basin Handwashing ceremony
Wan Daping participated in the disruption of Liu Zhengfeng’s Golden Basin Handwashing ceremony, where Songshan forces, led by Fei Bin, attempted to prevent Liu Zhengfeng from retiring and to punish him for his friendship with Qu Yang of the Sun Moon Order.
During the massacre, Wan Daping was responsible for killing Liu Jing, Liu Zhengfeng’s daughter, demonstrating the ruthlessness of the Songshan forces and their willingness to kill even women and children to achieve their objectives.
