Qu Feiyan (simplified: 曲非烟, traditional: 曲非煙, pinyin: Qǔ Fēiyān, jyutping: kuk1 fei1 jin1), also known as Feifei (非非), was the young granddaughter of Qu Yang, an elder of the Sun Moon Order. She was known for her clever and mischievous personality, and she was tragically killed by Fei Bin of the Songshan School during Liu Zhengfeng’s golden basin hand-washing ceremony.

Biography

Early life

Qu Feiyan was the granddaughter of Qu Yang, who raised her after her parents’ death. She was described as being around thirteen or fourteen years old, with a clever and mischievous personality that made her stand out among the characters.

She was close to her grandfather and often accompanied him on his travels, including his visits to see Liu Zhengfeng, with whom Qu Yang had a deep friendship.

Qu Feiyan accompanied Qu Yang to Liu Zhengfeng’s golden basin hand-washing ceremony, where she witnessed the tragic events that unfolded. When the Songshan School attacked Liu Zhengfeng and his family, Qu Feiyan was present and saw her grandfather and Liu Zhengfeng being seriously injured.

After Qu Yang and Liu Zhengfeng were mortally wounded, Qu Feiyan remained with them, refusing to leave despite their pleas. She drew two short swords and attempted to protect them, demonstrating her courage and loyalty.

Death

When Fei Bin of the Songshan School arrived and found Qu Yang, Liu Zhengfeng, and Qu Feiyan together, he decided to kill all three to eliminate witnesses. Qu Feiyan refused to leave her grandfather and Liu Zhengfeng, saying: “I will die together with Grandfather and Uncle Liu, I will not live alone.”

Fei Bin captured Qu Feiyan and threatened to torture her, saying he would first blind her left eye, then cut off her nose, then cut off her ears. However, before he could carry out his threats, Linghu Chong and Yilin intervened.

Despite Linghu Chong’s intervention, Qu Feiyan was ultimately killed by Fei Bin. Her death was a tragic loss, as she was just a young girl who had done nothing wrong but was caught in the conflict between the jianghu’s factions.
